Leading by Action. Being Accountable.

Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant has taken a proactive and inclusive approach as Will County Executive, focusing on community well-being, fiscal responsibility, and sustainable development.
She has led by action during challenging times.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bertino-Tarrant worked to ensure that essential services continued uninterrupted and prioritized public health, all while maintaining open lines of communication with residents about safety measures and available resources.

She has taken decisive action in emergency situations, helping to lead response efforts during the historic flooding along Kankakee River this past winter and cleanup and recovery efforts needed after severe weather experienced by residents this spring and summer. Additionally, she Jennifer’s office has also helped organize large-scale food giveaway events to support residents in need.

Jennifer also believes that leadership involves transparency and engagement with local communities to help develop innovative solutions that address the diverse needs of residents. Her administration has organized numerous public information meetings to discuss ongoing projects and gather resident feedback. In her efforts to involve citizens in the budgeting process, she has held informational sessions where residents can discuss their priorities and concerns. This inclusive approach not only builds trust but also empowers residents to have a voice in local governance.
